Job Title: Food Production Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Production Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production, with a proven track record of managing large-scale operations and delivering high-quality products. The Food Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our food production process, from sourcing ingredients to packaging and distribution. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement production plans to meet business objectives, including setting production targets, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of products
• Monitor and analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce waste
• Manage a team of production staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
• Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, including maintaining proper sanitation and hygiene practices, conducting regular inspections, and implementing corrective actions as needed
• Collaborate with other departments, including procurement, sales, and marketing, to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure a reliable supply of high-quality ingredients and materials
• Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality
• Stay current with industry trends and regulations, and make recommendations for process improvements or new product development
• Create and maintain production schedules, and adjust as needed to accommodate changing demand and supply constraints
• Conduct regular meetings with production staff to communicate performance expectations, provide feedback, and address any issues or concerns
• Maintain accurate production records and reports, and make recommendations for improvements based on data analysis

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in food science, business management, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in food production, with at least 2 years in a management role
• Strong knowledge of food safety and quality standards, including HACCP and GMP
• Experience with production planning and inventory management
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management software
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
