Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain machinery and equipment used to process timber, such as saws, planers, and sanders.
Adjust machine settings to ensure quality and accuracy of the processed timber.
Monitor and inspect timber products for defects, ensuring that they meet industry standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with machinery or equipment to minimize downtime.
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Keep detailed records of production, maintenance, and inventory.
Collaborate with other team members to coordinate production schedules and meet deadlines.
Continuously evaluate and improve processes to increase efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational training in timber processing is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in timber processing, with a strong understanding of different types of timber and their properties.
Proficient in operating and maintaining various types of timber processing machinery and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
