Job Title: Train Conductor

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Train Conductor to join our team. As a Train Conductor, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating trains, coordinating with other train crew members, and ensuring the on-time departure and arrival of trains. You will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and satisfaction of our passengers while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate trains in a safe and efficient manner, following all federal, state, and company regulations.
• Communicate with other train crew members, including engineers and brakemen, to ensure the smooth operation of the train.
• Coordinate with dispatchers to receive and transmit information about train movements, track conditions, and other relevant information.
• Ensure the proper loading and unloading of passengers and cargo, including securing any necessary equipment or materials.
• Collect and validate tickets from passengers, and provide assistance and information to passengers as needed.
• Monitor train equipment and systems for any malfunctions or defects, and report any issues to the appropriate department.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of train operations, including arrival and departure times, delays, and any incidents that may occur.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, train schedules, and regulations.
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs to maintain and enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education or training in a relevant field is preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
• Previous experience as a Train Conductor or in a related field is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
• Attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions and procedures.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
