Job Title: Parcel Delivery Specialist

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Parcel Delivery Specialist to join our team. As a Parcel Delivery Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering parcels to our customers in a timely and efficient manner. This is a fast-paced and physically demanding role that requires excellent time management skills and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely and accurately load parcels onto delivery vehicles
• Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient delivery
• Navigate through various traffic and road conditions to reach delivery destinations
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or issues from customers
• Collect payment for cash on delivery parcels, if applicable
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and payments received
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise
• Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations while operating a delivery vehicle
• Conduct regular vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues to the appropriate department
• Assist with sorting and organizing parcels at the distribution center, as needed
• Continuously strive to improve delivery processes and procedures to enhance customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in parcel or package delivery
• Strong knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Physically fit and able to lift and carry parcels weighing up to 50 lbs
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Experience with GPS navigation systems and electronic delivery tracking systems
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, as needed
