We are seeking a talented and driven Broadcast Journalist to join our dynamic media team. As a Broadcast Journalist, you will play a crucial role in delivering timely, engaging and informative news content to our audience. Key Responsibilities:

• Research, write and produce news content for television and radio broadcasts
• Conduct interviews with key figures, experts and members of the public
• Monitor news sources and develop story ideas
• Collaborate with news producers, anchors and other team members to ensure accurate and compelling news coverage
• Edit and proofread scripts to ensure accuracy and adherence to journalistic standards
• Deliver live reports from the field during breaking news events
• Utilize social media platforms to engage with audience and promote news content
• Stay up-to-date with current events and trends to provide insightful analysis and commentary
• Maintain relationships with news sources and develop new contacts
• Adhere to broadcast regulations and ethics regarding fair and accurate reporting
• Collaborate with videographers, editors and other team members to produce visually appealing news segments
• Participate in regular team meetings and brainstorming sessions to develop new ideas and strategies for news coverage

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in broadcast journalism
• Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills
• Proficient in AP style and broadcast writing techniques
• Excellent on-camera presence and public speaking skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Proven experience in delivering live reports and handling breaking news situations
• Knowledge of current events and news industry trends
• Familiarity with social media platforms and their use in news coverage
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Knowledge of broadcast regulations and ethics
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
