Key Responsibilities:

Interpret and read blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine the materials and equipment needed for each project
Measure and mark dimensions on metal sheets and bars according to specifications
Operate various tools and machinery such as shears, presses, rollers, and grinders to cut, bend, and shape metal pieces
Weld, solder, and braze metal parts together to create finished products
Inspect and test completed products for quality and accuracy
Troubleshoot and make necessary adjustments to equipment to ensure smooth production process
Maintain and organize work area, tools, and machinery to ensure a safe and clean working environment
Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects
Continuously update and improve skills and knowledge in metal fabrication techniques and processes

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent; Vocational or technical training in metal fabrication is preferred
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in metal fabrication or a related field
Strong knowledge of various metal types, their properties, and how to work with them
Proficient in reading blueprints and using measuring tools such as calipers, rulers, and protractors
Skilled in operating various metalworking machinery and tools
Ability to interpret and follow complex instructions and specifications
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
Strong time management and organizational skills
Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
Good communication and teamwork skills
