Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recreation Manager to oversee all recreational activities and facilities within our organization. As a Recreation Manager, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a diverse range of recreational programs and events that cater to the needs and interests of our members. Your goal will be to provide a fun and engaging environment for individuals of all ages to participate in recreational activities and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, plan, and implement a variety of recreational programs and events for members of all ages and abilities.
• Manage all aspects of the organization's recreational facilities, including maintenance, safety, and scheduling.
• Identify and collaborate with external vendors and partners to bring in new and exciting recreational opportunities for our members.
• Create and manage a budget for all recreational activities and facilities, ensuring cost-effectiveness and high-quality services.
• Hire, train, and supervise a team of recreational staff, including coaches, instructors, and lifeguards.
• Develop and enforce rules and regulations for the safe and responsible use of recreational facilities and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections of all recreational facilities to ensure they meet safety standards and are well-maintained.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
• Develop and maintain relationships with members to understand their needs and preferences, and continuously improve recreational offerings.
• Oversee the marketing and promotion of recreational programs and events to attract new members and retain current ones.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Sports Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record in managing recreational programs and facilities.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with members, staff, and external partners.
• Knowledge of budgeting and financial management, with the ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
