Position: Construction Manager - Civil Engineering

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with a background in Civil Engineering to oversee and manage the construction of various civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills. This role will play a crucial part in the successful completion of projects and will require a proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the construction process, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to develop construction plans and schedules.
• Monitor project progress and ensure that construction is in line with plans, specifications, and budget.
• Hire and manage subcontractors, vendors, and laborers to ensure timely completion of construction activities.
• Conduct regular site visits to inspect work and identify any potential issues or delays.
• Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or issues.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all construction personnel.
• Review and approve all project-related documentation, including contracts, change orders, and invoices.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and permits.
• Manage project budgets and provide cost control measures to stay within budget.
• Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience as a Construction Manager in the civil engineering industry.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints, and specifications.
• Familiarity with construction software and project management tools.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and permits.
