Job Overview: As the Building Materials Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process of building materials for our projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction materials and their suppliers, as well as the ability to negotiate and manage contracts. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our projects have the necessary materials to be completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for building materials in alignment with project timelines and budget
• Research potential suppliers and maintain relationships with current suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure the best deals for the company
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast future material needs to prevent delays in project timelines
• Collaborate with project managers to understand material requirements and make recommendations for alternative materials when necessary
• Ensure that all materials meet quality standards and are delivered on time to project sites
• Manage the procurement budget and track expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in building materials to make strategic decisions for the company

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of building materials and their suppliers
• Proven experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of sustainability practices in procurement is a plus
