Position: Student Success Advisor

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Student Success Advisor to join our team. As a Student Success Advisor, you will play a critical role in helping students achieve their academic and personal goals. You will provide guidance and support to students throughout their academic journey, from enrollment to graduation. Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for students, providing them with ongoing support and guidance throughout their academic journey
• Assist students with enrollment, course selection, and academic planning
• Monitor students' academic progress and identify any potential issues or challenges they may be facing
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other advisors to develop and implement interventions to support students' academic success
• Provide students with resources and tools to enhance their academic skills, such as time management, study habits, and goal setting
• Conduct regular check-ins with students to ensure they are on track with their academic goals
• Assist students in navigating any personal or academic challenges they may be facing, including mental health concerns, financial difficulties, and academic probation
• Develop and deliver workshops and presentations on various topics related to academic success and student support
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student interactions and progress
• Participate in departmental and campus-wide initiatives and committees related to student success and retention

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a student support role, preferably in higher education
• Strong understanding of student development and the challenges faced by college students
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with students from diverse backgrounds
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with a team and adapt to changing needs and priorities
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
• Experience using student information systems and other technology platforms to track student progress and communicate with students
• Knowledge of current trends and best practices in student success and retention
• Passion for helping students achieve their full potential and overcome barriers to success
