Laundry Attendant

The Laundry Attendant will primarily work in a laundry facility, with occasional duties in guest rooms and other areas of the property. This position requires standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods of time. The Laundry Attendant will work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business. Position: Laundry Attendant

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of all laundry facilities. The ideal candidate will have excellent time management skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort, wash, dry, and fold all linens, towels, and guest clothing according to established standards and procedures
• Operate commercial washers and dryers, ensuring proper settings and loading techniques for various types of fabrics
• Inspect linens for damage and stains, and treat accordingly before washing
• Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or damages to the Housekeeping Manager
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry facilities, including sorting, folding, and storing linens
• Assist with the delivery and distribution of clean linens to guest rooms and other departments as needed
• Handle guest laundry requests in a prompt and courteous manner
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean and safe work environment
• Assist with other housekeeping duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a similar position preferred
• Knowledge of laundry equipment and proper handling of various fabrics
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time, and perform repetitive tasks
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
