Position Title: Construction Engineer

Job Overview: As a Construction Engineer, you will play a vital role in the planning, design, and execution of construction projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire construction process, from initial concept to final completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with project managers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, timelines and budgets
• Conduct thorough site evaluations and assessments to determine feasibility of proposed projects
• Develop detailed project specifications and construction plans
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Review and approve construction materials and methods, ensuring they meet project requirements and quality standards
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
• Oversee the work of contractors and subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to project plans and specifications
• Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the construction process
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure work is being carried out according to plan and within budget
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to address any design issues and provide solutions
• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and project budgets
• Ensure that all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and maintained throughout the construction process
• Conduct final inspections to ensure project is completed to required specifications and standards
• Provide support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members as needed

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction engineering or a similar role
• Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Proven experience in budget management and cost control
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a variety of stakeholders
• Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant software programs
• Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel and work on-site as needed
