Position: Farm Operations Supervisor

Location: Ungheni, Moldova

Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Farm Operations Supervisor to join our team. As the Farm Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our farm operations, including crop production, livestock care, and overall farm maintenance. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of farming practices, and a dedication to ensuring the success of our farm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of farm workers, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective daily operations
• Develop and implement strategies to improve farm productivity, efficiency, and profitability
• Manage and maintain all farm equipment, ensuring it is properly maintained and in good working condition
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of supplies and equipment, ordering new items as needed
• Oversee crop production, including planting, harvesting, and irrigation, to ensure high-quality and timely yields
• Ensure proper care and welfare of livestock, including feeding, healthcare, and breeding activities
• Conduct regular inspections of farm facilities and equipment to identify and address any maintenance or safety issues
• Create and maintain records of farm activities, including crop yields, livestock production, and expenses
• Train and develop employees on proper farming techniques and safety procedures
• Collaborate with other farm supervisors and management to develop and implement long-term plans for the farm

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Farm Management, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in farm operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of farming practices, including crop production, livestock care, and equipment maintenance
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team
• Proven track record of improving farm productivity and profitability
• Ability to work long hours and in various weather conditions
• Proficiency in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office and farm management software
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a farming environment
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
