Position: Data Storage Architect

Location: Virginia Beach, Virginia, United States

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Storage Architect to join our team. As a Data Storage Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data storage solutions for our company. You will work closely with our IT team and business stakeholders to understand their data storage needs and develop strategies to efficiently store and manage large amounts of data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data storage solutions that meet the company's current and future needs.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand their data storage requirements and propose solutions to meet their needs.
• Evaluate and select appropriate storage technologies, including on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid solutions.
• Develop data storage policies and procedures to ensure data is stored securely and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and optimize data storage performance, capacity, and availability.
• Collaborate with the IT team to integrate data storage solutions with other systems and applications.
• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans for data storage systems.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data storage technologies and make recommendations for improvement.
• Train and mentor junior data storage professionals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Storage Architect or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of data storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, object storage, and cloud storage.
• Experience with data storage systems such as NetApp, EMC, and Dell EMC.
• Knowledge of data storage security and compliance regulations.
• Familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
