Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Materials Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Building Materials Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of building materials for various construction projects. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and analysis on new and existing building materials, evaluating their performance, cost, and sustainability.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to determine the specific building material requirements for each project.
• Create detailed designs and specifications for building materials, ensuring they meet all safety and regulatory standards.
• Develop and implement testing procedures to assess the strength, durability, and other properties of building materials.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of building materials during construction, making necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in building materials, incorporating new technologies and techniques into project designs.
• Provide technical support to construction teams on the proper use and installation of building materials.
• Collaborate with suppliers to source and procure high-quality building materials at competitive prices.
• Conduct cost analysis and provide recommendations for cost-effective building material solutions.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of all building material specifications, designs, and testing results.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Building Materials Engineer, preferably in the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of building materials, their properties, and their applications in construction.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound decisions.
• Proficient in CAD software and other relevant design tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and safety.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and standards for building materials.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
