Job Title: Grassroots Organizer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Grassroots Organizer. As a Grassroots Organizer, you will play a critical role in our organization by engaging and mobilizing communities to create positive change. You will work closely with community leaders, volunteers, and partner organizations to build grassroots support for our cause and drive impact at the local level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute grassroots organizing strategies to advance our organization's mission and goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, volunteers, and partner organizations to expand our network and strengthen our impact.
• Plan and coordinate grassroots events, including rallies, town halls, and community meetings to engage and mobilize community members.
• Identify and recruit volunteers to support our grassroots efforts and provide training and guidance to empower them to take action.
• Collaborate with our communications team to develop impactful messaging and materials to support our grassroots efforts.
• Utilize digital organizing tools to reach and engage a wider audience and amplify our message.
• Monitor and track progress and impact of grassroots efforts, and provide regular updates to the leadership team.
• Stay informed about local and national issues that align with our organization's mission and utilize that knowledge to inform grassroots strategies.
• Represent our organization at community events and meetings to raise awareness and build support for our cause.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in political science, social sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in grassroots organizing, community engagement, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of grassroots organizing principles and strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience in planning and executing successful grassroots events and campaigns.
• Experience with digital organizing tools and social media platforms.
• Knowledge of local and national political landscape and issues related to our organization's mission.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and a can-do attitude.
• Passion for social justice and creating positive change in communities.
