Position: Freight Forwarding Agent

Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freight Forwarding Agent to join our team. As a Freight Forwarding Agent, you will play a key role in managing the transportation and logistics of goods for our clients. You will work closely with our team of shipping and logistics professionals to ensure that all shipments are handled efficiently, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods for our clients, including air, ocean, rail, and truck shipments.
• Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers to ensure the most cost-effective and efficient shipping solutions.
• Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs forms, and export/import documentation.
• Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and manage any potential issues or delays.
• Communicate with clients, carriers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on shipment status and address any concerns or questions.
• Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international shipping regulations and requirements.
• Manage and maintain accurate records of all shipments, including invoices, bills of lading, and other documentation.
• Continuously monitor and improve shipping processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, responding promptly to inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and offer innovative solutions to clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics, preferably in a fast-paced, international environment.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and procedures.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
