Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Import/Export Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the import and export process for our company. You will work closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other internal departments to ensure the timely and efficient movement of goods across borders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the import and export process for our company, including coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure the timely and efficient movement of goods across borders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and trade agreements for both imports and exports.
• Process all necessary import and export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and customs forms.
• Classify products according to Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes and ensure accurate valuation for customs purposes.
• Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues or delays.
• Communicate with internal departments to provide updates on shipment status and address any concerns or questions.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and freight forwarders to negotiate freight rates and resolve any issues.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all import and export activities.
• Stay updated on changes in import and export laws, regulations, and trade agreements to ensure compliance and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline import and export operations.
• Provide support and guidance to other departments regarding import and export processes and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in import/export operations, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of import and export regulations, laws, and trade agreements.
• Experience in classifying products according to HTS codes and determining accurate valuation for customs purposes.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience working with customs software.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours when necessary.
