Position: Director of Curriculum and Instruction

Location: Harvard College of Education

Overview: Harvard College of Education is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Director of Curriculum and Instruction to join our team. As the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of all academic programs and instructional strategies, ensuring that they align with the company's goals and objectives. You will work closely with the executive team to provide strategic leadership and guidance in curriculum design and instruction, and collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality education to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive, innovative, and effective curriculum that supports the company's mission and vision.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum through regular assessments, data analysis, and feedback from students, teachers, and parents.
• Collaborate with the executive team to establish and maintain academic standards and goals for the company.
• Lead the curriculum development team to design and implement new programs and courses, as well as review and update existing ones.
• Provide professional development opportunities for teachers to enhance their instructional skills and stay current with educational trends.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by conducting regular evaluations and making necessary adjustments to the curriculum and instructional strategies.
• Ensure that the curriculum is inclusive and meets the needs of diverse learners.
• Develop and manage the department's budget, and allocate resources effectively to support the implementation of the curriculum.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and research in education and incorporate best practices into the curriculum.
• Represent the company in academic conferences, meetings, and other events.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in education or a related field; Doctorate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in curriculum development and instructional leadership.
• Experience in a leadership role in an educational setting.
• Strong understanding of curriculum design, instructional strategies, and assessment methods.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to think strategically and implement innovative ideas.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Knowledge of educational technology and its integration into the curriculum.
• Proven track record of effective project management and budgeting.
• Passion for education and dedication to providing high-quality education to students.
