Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement production plans for various crops, taking into consideration factors such as soil conditions, weather patterns, and market demands.
Monitor crop growth and make adjustments to production methods as needed to ensure optimal yields.
Oversee the application of fertilizers, pesticides, and other chemicals to crops, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Manage irrigation systems and monitor water usage to ensure efficient use of resources.
Hire and train production staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work.
Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to develop strategies for maximizing profits and meeting market demands.
Conduct regular inspections of crops, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise.
Maintain accurate records of production data, expenses, and inventory levels.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, incorporating new techniques and technologies to improve production processes.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in agricultural production, preferably in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of agricultural practices, including irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and crop management.
Proven track record of improving production processes and increasing yields.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
Willingness to work long hours and weekends during peak production periods.
