Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic plans for the fishery, including setting production goals, monitoring progress, and adapting plans as needed.
Manage and supervise a team of fishery staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
Oversee all aspects of fishery operations, including stocking, harvesting, and transportation of fish.
Monitor fish health and implement necessary measures to prevent and control disease outbreaks.
Maintain accurate records of fish production, sales, and expenses.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and obtain necessary permits and licenses.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, buyers, and other stakeholders in the industry.
Monitor market trends and adjust production and sales strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with research institutions to stay updated on the latest advancements in fishery management and implement best practices.
Continuously assess and improve operational processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Prepare and present regular reports to management on fishery performance, challenges, and opportunities.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Fisheries Management, Aquaculture, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in fishery management, with proven leadership skills.
Strong knowledge of fish biology, aquaculture techniques, and fishery regulations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
Proficient in data analysis and report writing.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
