Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain inventory of sporting goods products, ensuring accurate stock levels and product availability
Conduct regular merchandise audits to ensure accuracy and proper pricing
Collaborate with the buying team to identify and order new products that align with market trends and customer demands
Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers in finding the right products for their needs and answering any questions they may have
Actively engage with customers to build relationships and drive sales
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and product knowledge to provide accurate and helpful information to customers
Process transactions accurately and efficiently using our POS system
Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing to create a welcoming shopping environment
Assist in the setup and execution of store promotions and events
Train and mentor new team members on product knowledge and customer service best practices

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in a related field is preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail or customer service role, preferably in the sporting goods industry
Excellent knowledge of sporting goods products, brands, and trends
Strong customer service skills with the ability to build relationships and drive sales
Proficient in using a POS system and handling cash transactions
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
