Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Remediation Technician to join our team. As an Environmental Remediation Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the remediation of contaminated sites, restoring the environment to its natural state, and ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations. This is an entry-level position, perfect for individuals who are passionate about the environment and eager to gain hands-on experience in the environmental services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the installation and maintenance of remediation systems, such as air sparging, soil vapor extraction, and pump and treat systems
Perform soil and groundwater sampling to monitor contaminant levels and track progress of remediation efforts
Operate and maintain equipment, such as pumps, compressors, and generators
Conduct site assessments to identify potential environmental hazards and determine appropriate remediation strategies
Prepare and maintain accurate records of remediation activities, including daily logs, maintenance reports, and sampling data
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team
Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies regarding project updates and any issues that may arise
Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and work plans
Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency in remediation efforts
Travel to various project sites, as needed, to assist in remediation projects

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent, with a strong interest in the environment and environmental science
Previous experience in environmental services is preferred, but not required
Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to travel and work in different locations for extended periods of time, if necessary
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus, but not required
