Position: Supply Chain Specialist

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our company's supply chain operations. You will work closely with various departments to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products and services to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management and a proven track record of implementing strategies to improve processes and drive cost savings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supply Chain Management: - Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure timely delivery of products
• Collaborate with suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and pricing
• Continuously review and improve supply chain processes to streamline operations and eliminate inefficiencies

Vendor Management:

• Identify and onboard new vendors to expand our supplier base and ensure adequate supply
• Monitor vendor performance and maintain positive relationships to facilitate effective communication and issue resolution
• Conduct regular supplier evaluations to ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and cost requirements
• Manage supplier contracts and negotiate terms to optimize pricing and terms for the company

Logistics Management:

• Oversee the transportation of goods and materials from suppliers to our warehouses and distribution centers
• Monitor shipping schedules and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery
• Identify cost-saving opportunities in logistics and negotiate rates with carriers and freight forwarders
• Liaise with customs and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with import/export requirements

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Utilize supply chain data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions to improve performance
• Develop and maintain supply chain metrics and KPIs to measure and report on performance
• Create reports and presentations for senior management to communicate supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with various departments including Sales, Operations, and Finance to ensure alignment and coordination in supply chain activities
• Work closely with the Sales team to forecast demand and plan inventory levels accordingly
• Partner with Operations to streamline processes and improve supply chain efficiency
• Provide support to Finance in budgeting and cost management activities related to supply chain operations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment
• Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and best practices
• Proficient in supply chain software and systems, including ERP and WMS
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations
• Proven negotiation and vendor management experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines
