Position: Network Security Administrator

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Security Administrator to join our team. As a Network Security Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our company's network infrastructure. You will work closely with our IT team to implement, monitor, and maintain various security measures to protect our organization from cyber attacks and other security threats. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement network security policies, procedures, and standards to protect our organization's data and systems
• Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and conduct regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks
• Configure and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security appliances
• Manage user access and permissions to network resources and ensure proper authentication and authorization processes are in place
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address potential security issues
• Stay informed about emerging security threats and vulnerabilities and take proactive measures to protect our network
• Collaborate with the IT team to plan and implement network upgrades, patches, and other changes to ensure security is not compromised
• Respond to security incidents and conduct thorough investigations to determine the cause and prevent future occurrences
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to network security policies, procedures, and incidents
• Train employees on network security best practices and conduct regular security awareness campaigns to promote a culture of security within the organization

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security administration or a similar role
• Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security technologies
• Experience with network security tools and software, such as SIEM and vulnerability scanners
• Knowledge of security best practices, standards, and regulations (e.g. ISO, NIST, GDPR)
• Proven experience in conducting security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCNA Security are preferred
• Proven track record of staying up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Ability to work independently and in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
