Position: Science Curriculum Specialist

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Science Curriculum Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a strong background in science, with a focus on curriculum development and implementation. As a Science Curriculum Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum that meets the needs of our students and aligns with educational standards. You will also play a key role in training and supporting teachers in delivering the curriculum effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive science curriculum that meets educational standards and aligns with the school's educational goals and objectives.
• Oversee the selection and development of instructional materials, resources, and technology to support the science curriculum.
• Collaborate with teachers to identify areas for improvement and provide guidance and support in implementing effective instructional strategies.
• Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of the curriculum to ensure its relevance and effectiveness.
• Stay updated on the latest developments and trends in science education and incorporate them into the curriculum.
• Develop and conduct training sessions and workshops for teachers to enhance their knowledge and skills in teaching science.
• Monitor and analyze student performance data to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments to the curriculum.
• Collaborate with other curriculum specialists to ensure alignment and integration of the science curriculum with other subject areas.
• Work closely with school administrators to communicate updates and changes in the science curriculum and provide support for implementation.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in curriculum development and instructional strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in curriculum development and implementation, preferably in a science-related field.
• Strong knowledge of educational standards and best practices in science education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to design and implement effective instructional strategies.
• Experience in providing training and support to teachers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in technology and able to integrate it into curriculum development and instruction.
