Job Title: Grassroots Advocacy Coordinator

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Grassroots Advocacy Coordinator. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing grassroots advocacy strategies to support our organization's mission and goals. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, along with a strong understanding of grassroots advocacy and community organizing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement grassroots advocacy strategies to engage and mobilize community members in support of our organization's mission and goals
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify advocacy priorities and develop targeted campaigns to support these initiatives
• Build relationships with community leaders, organizations, and stakeholders to expand our grassroots network and support our advocacy efforts
• Organize and coordinate grassroots events, including rallies, town halls, and community forums, to raise awareness and drive action on key issues
• Create and distribute advocacy materials, such as petitions, action alerts, and talking points, to educate and engage community members
• Track and analyze grassroots advocacy metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and inform future strategies
• Train and support volunteers and community members to become effective advocates for our cause
• Represent our organization at community events and engage with the media to promote our advocacy efforts
• Stay up-to-date on relevant policy issues and trends in grassroots advocacy and provide regular updates to internal teams
• Manage the budget for grassroots advocacy activities and ensure resources are utilized effectively

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in grassroots advocacy, community organizing, or public policy
• Strong understanding of grassroots advocacy strategies and tactics
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with community leaders and stakeholders
• Experience organizing and coordinating events and campaigns
• Proficient in using social media and digital tools for advocacy
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Passionate about social and political issues and a strong commitment to our organization's mission
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
