Position: AWS Cloud Architect Director

Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled AWS Cloud Architect Director to join our dynamic team. As the AWS Cloud Architect Director, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring the highest level of performance, security, and scalability. This position requires a strong background in AWS architecture, as well as exceptional leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of our AWS cloud architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain cloud governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and security.
• Oversee the deployment and management of AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop solutions that align with company goals.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and technologies, and make recommendations for their integration into our infrastructure.
• Manage a team of AWS architects and engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of our cloud infrastructure to ensure maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place and regularly tested.
• Develop and manage the AWS budget, making cost-saving recommendations and ensuring budget adherence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in AWS architecture and engineering, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
• AWS Professional-level certification is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of AWS cloud services, with experience in designing and implementing complex architectures.
• Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies, such as CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
• Proven experience in managing budgets and making cost-saving recommendations.
• A passion for staying current with the latest technologies and trends in the cloud computing industry.
