Position: Transportation Operations Manager

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transportation Operations Manager to join our team. As the Transportation Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of our transportation department. This includes managing a team of drivers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods, and maintaining compliance with all transportation regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise a team of drivers to ensure safe and efficient delivery of goods.
• Develop and implement transportation policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Monitor and track transportation schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Identify and address any issues or delays in transportation operations.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of transportation vehicles to ensure they are in top working condition.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate transportation needs and optimize delivery routes.
• Monitor and control transportation costs to stay within budget.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations of drivers and provide feedback for improvement.
• Train and onboard new drivers to ensure they understand company policies and procedures.
• Stay updated on transportation regulations and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
• Develop and maintain relationships with transportation vendors and negotiate contracts for better rates and services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation operations management.
• Proven track record of successfully managing a team of drivers.
• Extensive knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and transportation management software.
• Valid driver's license.
