Position: Biotechnology Process Engineer

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biotechnology Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Biotechnology Process Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing processes for the production of biotechnology products. You will work closely with a team of scientists, engineers, and technicians to ensure the successful implementation of new processes and the continuous improvement of existing ones.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize biotechnology processes for the production of various products, including pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and biofuels.
• Conduct experiments and analyze data to identify process parameters and optimize process performance.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs, batch records, and equipment specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful scale-up and transfer of processes from the lab to the production facility.
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions to ensure product quality and process efficiency.
• Lead process validation studies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in biotechnology processes and technologies.
• Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on process operations and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in biotechnology process development or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of biotechnology processes, including fermentation, cell culture, purification, and downstream processing.
• Experience with process design and optimization tools, such as Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Process Capability Analysis.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements, such as cGMP, FDA, and ISO.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
