Job Title: Assistant Professor of Education

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor of Education. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education and a passion for teaching, research, and community engagement. As an Assistant Professor, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of educators and leaders in the field of education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in education, including but not limited to curriculum development, instructional strategies, and educational psychology.
• Conduct research in the field of education and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
• Mentor and advise students, including undergraduate and graduate students, in academic and career development.
• Participate in curriculum development and assessment activities to ensure the highest quality of education for students.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the Education Department and across disciplines to develop interdisciplinary courses and programs.
• Engage in service activities, such as serving on committees and participating in community outreach programs.
• Keep up-to-date with developments in the field of education and incorporate new methodologies and technologies into teaching and research.

Qualifications:

• A PhD in Education or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the college level is preferred.
• A strong record of scholarship, including publications in peer-reviewed journals, is desired.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
• A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching, research, and service.
• Experience with online teaching and learning platforms is a plus.
