Job Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled Publishing Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the publishing industry and be able to lead our team to success. The Publishing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire publishing process, from acquisition to distribution. This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional publications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement publishing strategies to meet company goals and objectives
• Manage the entire publishing process, including acquisition, editing, design, production, and distribution
• Identify and acquire new manuscripts and publications that align with our company's vision and target audience
• Work closely with authors, editors, designers, and other team members to ensure timely and high-quality publication releases
• Oversee the budget and production schedule for all publications
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote and distribute publications
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with authors, agents, and other industry professionals
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes to ensure our company remains competitive in the market
• Manage and mentor a team of publishing professionals, providing guidance and support as needed
• Monitor and track publication performance and make strategic adjustments as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Publishing, English, Journalism, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in publishing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Strong understanding of the publishing process, including acquisition, editing, design, production, and distribution
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven track record of successfully managing a team and delivering high-quality publications
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire team members
• Familiarity with industry software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
• Passion for the publishing industry and a strong knowledge of current trends and best practices
