Responsibilities:

Operate trains in a safe and efficient manner, following all company and industry regulations and protocols
Communicate with train crew members, rail traffic controllers, and other personnel to ensure safe and timely movement of trains
Conduct pre and post-trip inspections of train equipment and report any issues or maintenance needs
Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking the train and provide exceptional customer service throughout their journey
Collect and process tickets, fares, and other forms of payment from passengers
Keep accurate records of train movements, passenger counts, and any incidents or delays
Monitor train equipment and systems for any abnormalities and take necessary actions to mitigate any issues
Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols, including emergency and evacuation procedures
Maintain a clean and organized train cab and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are on board
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a similar role preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Good physical stamina and the ability to work in varying weather conditions
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation to and from work
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
