Position: Print Production Manager

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Print Production Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Print Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of print production, from prepress to final product delivery. This is a crucial role within our organization as you will ensure that our clients receive high-quality printed materials on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of print production, including prepress, printing, finishing, and shipping
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand project requirements and provide recommendations for cost-effective production solutions
• Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of all print projects
• Monitor and control production costs to maximize profitability
• Source and negotiate with external vendors for printing and finishing services
• Oversee the maintenance and calibration of all printing equipment
• Ensure that all print materials meet quality standards and client specifications
• Troubleshoot any production issues and provide timely resolutions
• Manage a team of print production staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in printing technology
• Continuously improve production processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce waste

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in printing technology, graphic design, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in print production management
• Extensive knowledge of print production processes, techniques, and materials
• Proven experience in managing a team and meeting production deadlines
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in using print production software and equipment
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for quality control
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of sustainability practices in print production is a plus
