About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Crime Scene Investigator to join our dynamic team. As a Crime Scene Investigator, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing evidence from crime scenes in order to assist in criminal investigations. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to crime scenes and secure the area to preserve evidence
• Document and photograph the crime scene, including taking measurements and creating sketches
• Collect physical evidence such as fingerprints, DNA, and weapons
• Conduct interviews with witnesses, victims, and suspects
• Analyze and process evidence using forensic techniques and equipment
• Maintain detailed records of evidence and chain of custody
• Prepare comprehensive reports on findings and present evidence in court
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, forensic laboratories, and other professionals to gather and analyze information
• Stay updated on advancements in forensic technology and techniques
• Testify in court as an expert witness when necessary

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in forensic science, criminal justice, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in crime scene investigation
• Knowledge of forensic techniques and procedures
• Familiarity with evidence collection and preservation methods
• Proficiency in using forensic equipment and software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Willingness to work irregular hours and be on call for emergencies
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
