About the Role: Crescent Tech University is seeking a Student Support Specialist to join our team. As a Student Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our students throughout their academic journey. You will serve as a key point of contact for students, providing guidance, resources, and assistance to ensure their success. This role requires a highly organized and empathetic individual who is passionate about helping students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for students, providing timely and accurate responses to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
• Build strong relationships with students to understand their needs, concerns, and goals.
• Provide guidance and support to students on academic requirements, program information, and resources available to them.
• Assist students with course registration, schedule changes, and other administrative tasks.
• Monitor students' academic progress and proactively reach out to those who may need additional support.
• Collaborate with academic advisors, faculty, and other departments to ensure a seamless student experience.
• Coordinate and facilitate workshops, orientations, and other events to promote student success.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records in the database.
• Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance the student experience.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a student support or academic advising role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Empathetic and patient with a passion for helping students succeed.
• Knowledge of higher education policies and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and student information systems.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
