Position: Fundraising Officer

Location: Bremen, Germany

About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fundraising Officer to join our team at HopeRise Initiatives. As a non-profit organization, we rely heavily on fundraising efforts to support our mission and initiatives. The Fundraising Officer will play a pivotal role in securing donations and grants to help us continue our important work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet annual fundraising goals, including but not limited to individual giving, corporate partnerships, and grant opportunities
• Research and identify potential donors, sponsors, and partners, and build and maintain relationships with them
• Create and maintain a donor database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of all donations and pledges
• Plan and execute fundraising events, including managing logistics, securing sponsorships, and promoting the events
• Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create compelling fundraising campaigns and materials
• Write grant proposals and reports, ensuring compliance with all grant requirements and deadlines
• Cultivate and steward existing donors, providing regular communication and updates on the impact of their contributions
• Keep abreast of current fundraising trends and best practices, and continuously seek out new ways to engage donors and increase fundraising revenue
• Represent the organization at networking events and conferences to build awareness and relationships with potential donors and partners
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure fundraising efforts align with the overall mission and goals of the organization

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as nonprofit management, marketing, or communications
• Minimum of 3 years experience in fundraising, preferably in the nonprofit sector
• Proven track record of successfully meeting fundraising goals and securing major gifts
• Knowledge of fundraising techniques and strategies, including individual giving, corporate partnerships, and grant writing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate the organization's mission and impact to potential donors
• Strong research and networking skills, with the ability to identify and build relationships with potential donors and partners
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and donor management software
• Passion for the organization's cause and a strong commitment to making a difference in the community
