About the Position: We are currently seeking a highly organized and experienced Transportation Supervisor to join our team. The Transportation Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our transportation department, including managing a team of drivers, scheduling deliveries and pickups, and ensuring the timely and safe transportation of goods. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation management, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of drivers, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
• Create and maintain delivery schedules to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods
• Monitor and track deliveries to ensure on-time arrival and address any delays or issues that arise
• Communicate with customers to provide updates on delivery status and address any concerns or issues
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking information, invoices, and receipts
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
• Regularly review and update transportation procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Oversee maintenance and repairs of transportation vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition
• Manage transportation budget and identify opportunities for cost savings
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
• Conduct regular performance reviews with team members and provide coaching and support as needed
• Collaborate with other departments to improve overall supply chain efficiency
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in transportation management
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven track record of managing transportation operations and meeting deadlines
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards
• Proficiency in using transportation management software and systems
• Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
