Job Title: Academic Advisor/Student Success Coach

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Academic Advisor/Student Success Coach. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in providing academic advising and support services to students to help them achieve their academic goals. As an integral part of our team, you will work closely with students, faculty, and staff to promote student success and retention.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic advising to a diverse population of students to help them develop academic plans that align with their personal and career goals
• Monitor students' academic progress and identify potential issues that may hinder their success
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and implement retention strategies for at-risk students
• Assist students in navigating through academic policies, procedures, and resources
• Conduct regular check-ins with students to provide support and guidance throughout their academic journey
• Develop and facilitate workshops and programs to enhance students' academic skills and success
• Utilize technology and data to track student progress and make data-driven decisions to improve student success rates
• Participate in recruitment and orientation activities to assist students with academic program selection and course registration
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and documentation
• Serve as a liaison between students and other campus departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of services
• Stay current with trends and best practices in academic advising and student success in higher education

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic advising, student services, or a related field
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population and collaborate with faculty and staff
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
• Proficient in the use of technology and data analysis to support student success
• Knowledge of academic policies and procedures in higher education
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Passion for helping students achieve their academic goals and promoting student success
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
