Job Title: Construction Estimator

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Construction Estimator to join our growing team. As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of construction projects, analyzing proposals and bids, and providing detailed reports to our clients. You will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our projects by providing accurate and timely cost estimates, as well as actively participating in the pre-construction planning process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze construction plans and specifications to determine project scope and develop cost estimates
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to review and understand project requirements
• Conduct site visits to gather information and assess potential risks and challenges
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and present alternative solutions to clients
• Review bids and proposals from subcontractors and suppliers for accuracy and completeness
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and availability of materials and services
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients, highlighting cost breakdowns and project timelines
• Update and maintain accurate records of all estimates, bids, and proposals
• Participate in pre-construction meetings to provide input on project planning and budgeting
• Stay informed of industry trends and changes in construction costs to ensure accurate and competitive estimates

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or relevant field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Willingness to travel to project sites and work outside of standard office hours if needed
