Job Title: Data Security Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Data Security Manager to join our dynamic and growing team. As a Data Security Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the security of all data and information systems within our organization. This role requires a deep understanding of data security best practices and the ability to implement and maintain security protocols to protect sensitive information. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of successfully managing data security processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement data security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all data and information systems
• Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security threats and develop strategies to mitigate risks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data security controls and protocols
• Monitor and analyze data security logs and alerts to identify and respond to potential security breaches
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies and make recommendations for improvement to the organization's data security strategy
• Lead incident response and disaster recovery efforts in the event of a data breach or cyber attack
• Develop and implement employee training programs to promote data security awareness and ensure compliance with security protocols
• Manage relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure the security of shared data and information systems
• Prepare and present reports to senior management on the organization's data security posture and make recommendations for improvement

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data security, information security, or a related role
• Strong knowledge of data security best practices, standards, and regulations (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001)
• Experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability scanners
• Proven track record of successfully managing data security processes and implementing security protocols
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA) are a plus
