Key Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate database migration projects, taking into account timelines, resources, and potential risks
Work closely with stakeholders to identify business requirements and determine the best approach for data migration
Conduct thorough analysis of existing databases to identify potential issues and areas for improvement
Develop and implement data migration strategies, including data mapping, cleansing, and validation
Manage the execution of data migration tasks, ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout the process
Monitor and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during data migration, and provide timely solutions to maintain project timelines
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compatibility and proper integration of databases with other systems
Develop and maintain documentation related to database migration processes and procedures
Train and mentor junior team members on database migration best practices

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in database management, with a focus on data migration
Strong technical skills in database design, SQL, and data manipulation
Experience with database migration tools and methodologies
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Proven track record of delivering successful database migration projects
Familiarity with various database systems, such as Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL
