Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Gallery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our gallery. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for art and a proven track record in managing a gallery or other creative space. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the gallery's standards of excellence, managing the gallery staff, and overseeing the coordination of exhibitions and events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the overall operations of the gallery, including scheduling, budgeting, and managing the gallery staff.
• Develop and implement strategies to promote the gallery and increase foot traffic, sales, and revenue.
• Build and maintain relationships with artists, collectors, and other art professionals to ensure a diverse and high-quality roster of artists.
• Develop and maintain the gallery's inventory, including tracking artwork, sales, and consignments.
• Coordinate and manage the installation and deinstallation of exhibitions, ensuring that all artwork is displayed in a professional and visually appealing manner.
• Oversee the planning and execution of events, including opening receptions, artist talks, and other promotional events.
• Manage the gallery's online presence, including social media accounts and website updates.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional campaigns to attract new audiences and engage existing ones.
• Monitor and track gallery sales, expenses, and budgets, and provide regular reports to the senior management team.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, attend art fairs and other events, and network with other gallery professionals to stay informed about the current art market.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Art History, Fine Arts, or related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a gallery or art-related field, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record in managing a gallery, including budgeting, staff management, and event coordination.
• Strong knowledge and passion for contemporary art and the art market.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with artists, clients, and industry professionals.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and social media platforms.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to oversee gallery events and openings.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
