Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough physical examinations of animals and diagnose medical conditions
• Develop and implement treatment plans for various illnesses and injuries
• Perform surgeries, including spaying and neutering, and other specialized procedures
• Prescribe medication and administer vaccinations to prevent and treat diseases
• Collaborate with other veterinary professionals to provide comprehensive care for animals
• Educate pet owners on proper nutrition, behavior, and preventive care for their pets
• Maintain detailed medical records and accurately document all treatments and procedures
• Utilize diagnostic tools such as X-rays, ultrasounds, and laboratory tests to determine the cause of health issues
• Monitor and assist in the recovery of hospitalized animals
• Communicate with clients and provide updates on their pet's condition and treatment plan
• Stay up-to-date on advancements in veterinary medicine and attend continuing education courses
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Provide after-hours emergency care as needed

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited college or university
• State veterinary license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Veterinarian
• Excellent diagnostic and surgical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Compassionate and empathetic towards animals and their owners
• Proficient in computer systems and medical software
• Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends
• Physical ability to lift and restrain animals when necessary
