Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the development team to understand the database requirements and design effective test plans
Create and execute test cases to validate the functionality and performance of the database
Develop and maintain automated test scripts to streamline the testing process
Identify, troubleshoot, and report database issues and work with the development team to resolve them
Perform database performance and load testing to ensure optimal performance in different scenarios
Monitor and analyze database performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvement
Conduct regression testing to ensure the stability and integrity of the database
Continuously enhance the testing process and implement best practices to improve database quality
Stay updated with the latest technologies and methodologies in database testing and apply them to our testing process
Communicate test results and provide recommendations to the development team and stakeholders
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any database-related issues and ensure timely delivery of projects
Actively participate in code reviews and provide feedback on database design and code changes

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in database testing
Strong knowledge of database management systems such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server
Experience in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures
Proficiency in database testing tools such as Selenium, SoapUI, or JMeter
Experience in creating and executing automated test scripts
Familiarity with agile methodologies and software development lifecycle
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Certification in database testing is a plus
