Position: Research and Development Chemist - Cosmetics

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research and Development Chemist to join our innovative cosmetics company. As a R&D Chemist, you will play a crucial role in the development of new and improved cosmetic products. You will be responsible for conducting research, developing formulations, and performing quality control tests to ensure the safety and effectiveness of our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry and a passion for creating high-quality cosmetic products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research to identify new ingredients and technologies for use in cosmetic products
• Develop formulations for new cosmetic products, taking into consideration factors such as stability, compatibility, and efficacy
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and manufacturing to ensure product development meets company goals and timelines
• Perform quality control tests on raw materials and finished products to ensure safety, stability, and efficacy
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of existing products, making recommendations for improvements or modifications as needed
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, scientific advancements, and regulatory requirements in the cosmetics industry
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all experiments, formulations, and test results
• Assist with the preparation and submission of regulatory documentation for new products
• Participate in product launches and provide technical support to other departments as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cosmetic product development and formulation
• Strong understanding of cosmetic chemistry, raw materials, and industry regulations
• Experience with various laboratory equipment and techniques used in cosmetic formulation and testing
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
