Job Title: Academic Director

Position Overview: As an Academic Director, you will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of academic programs within our organization. You will be responsible for overseeing the overall academic standards and ensuring the delivery of high-quality education to our students. You will work closely with faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to continuously improve the academic curriculum, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement academic programs that align with the organization's mission and vision
• Provide strategic direction and leadership to the academic team
• Oversee the development and maintenance of academic policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with faculty to design and monitor curriculum and instructional methods that promote student engagement and success
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality education by conducting regular evaluations of faculty and academic programs
• Develop and manage academic budgets, including resource allocation for faculty development and student support services
• Identify and implement strategies to enhance student retention and graduation rates
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between academic departments, faculty, and other stakeholders
• Lead the accreditation process and ensure continuous compliance with accreditation standards
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in higher education to drive innovation and improvement in academic programs
• Participate in recruitment and hiring of faculty members and provide ongoing support and mentorship to ensure their professional development
• Represent the organization at academic conferences and events to promote our programs and build partnerships with other institutions

Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in education, curriculum development, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in academic leadership roles, preferably in higher education
• Strong understanding of curriculum development, instructional methods, and academic policies and procedures
• Proven track record of driving academic excellence and student success
• Experience in leading and managing a team of faculty and staff
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions
• Familiarity with accreditation processes and standards
• Passion for education and commitment to continuous improvement
