Overview: CommConnect Telecom is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Datacenter Network Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of network infrastructure and datacenter operations, as well as excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our datacenter network, ensuring smooth operations and minimal downtime. You will work closely with our network engineers and other technical teams to ensure the highest level of performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and monitor the datacenter network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and other network devices.
• Troubleshoot network issues and perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve complex problems.
• Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and expansions to meet the growing needs of our business.
• Implement and maintain network security protocols and procedures to protect against cyber threats.
• Monitor network traffic and performance, identify potential bottlenecks, and make recommendations for optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the deployment of new applications and systems.
• Create and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and maintenance.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in network technology, and make recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience working in a datacenter environment.
• Advanced knowledge of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and MPLS.
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Arista networking equipment.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, such as Wireshark and SolarWinds.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIA are a plus.
