Job Overview: As a Student Success Advisor at Cascade Polytechnic, you will play a vital role in supporting and guiding students towards achieving their academic and personal goals. You will serve as a primary point of contact for students, providing them with the necessary resources and support to overcome any challenges they may face during their academic journey. Your role is crucial in ensuring the success and retention of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned students, providing them with academic and personal support throughout their time at Cascade Polytechnic.
• Conduct regular check-ins with students to assess their progress and identify any areas of concern.
• Proactively reach out to students who may be struggling academically or personally, and provide them with the necessary resources and support to address their challenges.
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the academic programs offered at Cascade Polytechnic in order to effectively guide students towards their academic goals.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify and address any academic or personal issues that may impact student success.
• Assist students in creating academic plans and setting realistic goals to ensure their success.
• Help students navigate the registration and enrollment process, and provide guidance on course selection and scheduling.
• Conduct workshops and presentations on topics related to student success, such as time management, study skills, and goal setting.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and interactions.
• Act as a liaison between students and other departments within Cascade Polytechnic, such as financial aid and career services.
• Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in student success and retention, and implement them into your work with students.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in student services or academic advising.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of academic advising and student success best practices.
• Ability to work with a diverse student population.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and student information systems.
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Passion for helping students succeed and reach their full potential.
