As a Donor Relations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our organization by building and maintaining relationships with our donors.

Role Overview: As a Donor Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with our donors, ensuring their continued support and engagement with our organization. You will work closely with the Development team to create and implement effective donor stewardship strategies. Your role will be a key contributor to our fundraising efforts, helping us to achieve our financial goals and make a positive impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with donors through personalized communication, including phone calls, emails, and handwritten notes.
• Create and execute personalized stewardship plans for major donors, ensuring timely and meaningful touchpoints.
• Collaborate with the Development team to create engaging and impactful donor events and recognition programs.
• Utilize data and analytics to track donor engagement and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Conduct research on potential donors and develop strategies to engage and cultivate them.
• Provide exceptional customer service to donors, responding to inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to create compelling donor communication materials, including newsletters, impact reports, and social media posts.
• Work with the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely processing of donations and tax receipts.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in the CRM database.
• Stay informed about current fundraising trends and best practices, and make recommendations for improvement to the Development team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Non-profit Management, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in donor relations, fundraising, or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with donors.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM databases.

• A high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
